Sturdy contemporary side table
I used the components, joined them together and these joints make a super sturdy table.
I used the slats from old bed frame to make this side table. I want this table to be thicker than usual.
I laminated the three pairs of slats together to make this table thicker.
I used paper strip in between. Be careful not to get glue on the board when clamping the two pieces.
Next, I square up the uneven edges so I can edge join these together.
Before I glue these up, I arrange the faces that I like the best and so that I can a nice look.
Glue all three pieces together.
Cut out all the four pieces to make the table and set up a stack of dado blades to create series of
rabbets.
Now, for assembling these pieces gluing one piece at a time and completing sticking them together one after another.
Spraying the wood finish to give a final touch to the table.
